Welcome to my little corner of the web, skinnybuilt.com. I retired at the end of
June 2006, so now I can do what I want (after the honey do's). As turning is my
therapy, that's what I do the most.
Featured within this site is a selection of my original turned-wood works of art.
These artful pieces are made from a mixture of unique domestic and exotic
wood. They display beautifully in the home or office and make wonderful gifts
for loved ones. Please accept my humble offerings.
Don't forget to peruse the gallery for those highlighted pieces of art that are for
sale.
I'm excited to announce that a few of my pieces will be featured in the California
Contours - 2008 / Fiber Art Exhibition held at the San Luis Art Center in San
Luis Obispo, CA. The purpose of this exhibition is to showcase the work of
California woodturners by displaying the best examples of their contemporary
work. Thirty-Five Turned objects (bowls, vases, platters, and other items) were
selected for presentation from 88 turning entries received from 38 artists and I
am honored to have been chosen as one of the artists to participate in this
exhibit. The exhibition is sponsored by the American Association of
Woodturners. Check it out and stay tuned for more news to come!
Thanks for visiting!
